The performances overall, but Keiser’s in particular, strike a nice balance between stylized comic costume-drama and tragic realism. First is an outstanding dance, enhanced by projections, choreographed by Jess Goldschmidt, and strikingly performed by Laura Butler Rivera in the title role.
